The Horizon Casino Resort used to be located right in the heart of Lake Tahoe. It had 539 guest rooms, many of which had balconies and offered a beautiful look at the lake outside. The location was strategically chosen not just because it’s beautiful and unique (after all, how many hotels are located right in the middle of a lake?), but also because it provided easy access to various activities, such as biking, golf, hiking or skiing, all of which were only a minutes away from the hotel. The beach was also literally a stone’s throw away, meaning that guests could conveniently go there in their swimwear and then right back to the hotel to shower and rest, eliminating a lot of the inconveniences typically associated with going to the beach.
The pride and joy of the hotel was the family friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The award-winning staff did everything in their power to make sure every single guest would feel welcome and unique, essentially making the hotel the guests’ home away from home… Just better. How could it possibly be better, you may ask? Well, how about with an arcade filled to the brim with games, a gigantic outdoor pool and an even larger 8 plex movie theatre. Even the pickiest of guests couldn’t complain about the lack of entertainment at Horizon!
And while the kids could be left to have fun in the arcade or at the pool (under the watchful gaze of a lifeguard, of course), the adults could have a different kind of fun, if you know what I mean! Of course, I’m talking about our casino – our pride and joy, filled to the brim with the latest and greatest video slots and served by dealers who were always happy to throw a few cards your way! Aside from that, you could also watch the big sports games on a giant 64 inch plasma TV, or you could enjoy a night of Karaoke or Cabaret. And in case you got hungry, there was always the Town Square Buffet, able to satisfy every family’s appetite! And in those odd hours between meals, you could always grab a drink at the Four Seasons Coffee Shop or the local Starbucks.
